The new relic system completely changes how I plan my runs, and I've already found three that combo off my favorite hero. Events popping up across the floating isles keep every match feeling fresh instead of repeating the same opening. Best expansion I've picked up in a while.
Events popping up across the floating isles add a nice layer of unpredictability to our campaign nights. Wish the relic cards were a bit thicker since they feel flimsy after a few shuffles, but the new bounty mechanics are worth it.
The new relic cards add some fun decisions, but the event system feels tacked on and rarely changed how our group played. Fine if you already love the base game, otherwise it's skippable.
