I didn't think I needed the campaign structure until I actually played through a full run with it. Chaining the days together with persistent consequences makes every choice feel heavier, and I'm already planning a second playthrough.

Campaign play changes the whole feel of the base game, and the day-by-day structure keeps me coming back between sessions instead of shelving it after one run. Setup still eats a chunk of table space, but that's a small price for the progression.

The campaign mode finally gives my solo runs a real sense of progression, and the day counter adds just the right amount of pressure to every choice. Setting it up took a bit of table space, but once the tyrant track was laid out it clicked instantly.
