The double-sided design is what sold me — flipping between mission briefing and gameplay without a second mat is so convenient. It lies flat right out of the tube with no curling at the edges.

The mat's surface has just the right amount of texture to keep cards from sliding around, and flipping it over gives the briefing a whole new vibe.

The double-sided design is the real winner here — one side for the mission briefing setup, flip it for actual play, and the artwork holds up on both. Surface has just enough grip that cards don't slide around mid-game. Way sturdier than the flimsy mat I was using before.
