The stitching along the edge is tight and the surface has just enough grip that cards don't slide when I reach across the board. Rolled it out for a solo campaign and the Vesuvius artwork makes the whole table feel like a doomed Roman town. Zero regrets.

The lava and smoke artwork looks even better in person than in the listing photos. The mat rolls out flat right away and stays put through a whole game night.

The mat has a nice smooth surface that makes picking up cards way easier, and the stitched edges haven't frayed at all after a dozen game nights. That Vesuvius artwork is genuinely striking in person, more vivid than the product photos suggested.
